My name is Jane (without the Y) originally from Ghana. I am 24 and currently working as a HR Specialist in the Army. I am also a part-time Law student at Birkbeck University.
I am and always have been a glass half full kind of girl. I find that I am learning more about life, myself and my community in my twenties more than I ever did while I was in school. This along with my love for writing and debating meant that I had to be a part of #IssaMovement when Paula approached me with the idea. I love that this is a platform which allows us to be able to share our experiences, talk about important topics within our society and at the same time be able to learn and grow together.
Likes: Anything personal development, motivational speeches/ quotes, planning, people with direction, I like discovering about different mindsets, food, movies.
Hobbies: reading, writing (I am a proud nerd at heart), travelling, adventure training- last one being in Kenya where I found a love for Gorge Jumping, if you don’t mind heights I encourage you to give it a go.
Dislikes: Childish behaviour, disorganised things and beating around the bush.
If I were to describe myself in three words it would be, ambitious, dynamic and positive. It is important for me to always look at my life as it could be rather than as it is, this helps me to have a positive mindset so that I can have solutions for problems that I incur rather than focus on the problem and let it consume my life. However, the only way I am able to do this is through my relationship with God and the peace that comes with it knowing that I am never alone.
